Dr. Paskas is a leader with an outstanding record of achievement in transforming healthcare experiences and operational and clinical workflows. With many years of experience in critical care nursing and due to some personal family health experiences, Dr. Paskas has become passionate about improving the quality of experience and promoting safe care for all people. Her areas of responsibility have consistently achieved transformational outcomes in challenging environments of care.
Dr. Paskas is equally passionate about leadership development and is committed to mentoring clinical leaders and providing coaching opportunities to promote growth. She designed the Professional Development Workshop, a program that positively impacts entry level talent across the healthcare organization to identify the organizational resources that support their growth journey.
Dr. Paskas leads innovation forums, creating a safe space for teams to move from problems to group based solutions. She was instrumental in creating the Experience Innovation Cafe (XIC) in 2017 leading the organization to improvements in HCAHPS and other quality measures. Dr. Paskas created the Care Companion Program - a structured program that supports a patient’s loved one to be designated as a partner in care during their hospitalization.
In the early journey of Hackensack Meridian Health Network, Dr. Paskas designed and implemented the Quadruple Aim Councils across all HMH hospitals. The councils focused on continuous improvement through rapid learning cycle initiatives. These initiatives support our hospital leadership and dyad teams with improving the quality of care and the patient experience as measured through HCAHPS. Post-Pandemic, Dr. Paskas re-launched the continuous improvement strategy leading to the organization exceeding the rate of improvement in HCAHPS measures.
In 2023, Dr. Paskas received the Visionary Award from Practicing Excellence. In 2024, she received the Glass Ceiling Award from Hackensack Meridian Health. In 2025, she was the Honoree for Hackensack Meridian Health to receive the Excellence in Health Care Award for Quality Improvement Champions from United Hospital Fund (UHF).
