Western Governors University hardwired quality and safety concepts from NAHQ’s HQ Principles online certificate program into its Master of Science in Nursing programs.
In addition, the Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) program recognizes an alignment of core program competencies with NAHQ’s Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality® (CPHQ) certification.
The George Washington University
As focus increases on healthcare quality and positive patient outcomes, NAHQ and the George Washington University’s School of Nursing recognize that a coordinated, competent workforce begins in the classroom.
The two entities have collaborated to incorporate content aligned with NAHQ’s industry-standard Healthcare Quality Competency Framework into a GW School of Nursing graduate-level course titled Advancing Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety.
Georgetown University
As the need for waste reduction and improved patient outcomes increases, NAHQ and Georgetown University recognize a coordinated, competent workforce begins in the classroom.
They have collaborated to hardwire content aligned with NAHQ’s industry-standard Healthcare Quality Competency Framework into Georgetown’s Executive Master’s in Clinical Quality, Safety and Leadership.
Middle Tennessee State University
Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) and NAHQ have collaborated to hardwire NAHQ’s quality and safety principles as content in the university’s 2023 graduate coursework. The course, “Healthcare Quality and Accountability for Leaders,” will be available to Master of Business Administration in healthcare management students in the Jennings A. Jones College of Business at MTSU.
The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, School of Public Health
The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth (HSC), School of Public Health, has collaborated with NAHQ to provide its Master of Health Administration (MHA) students with the opportunity to pursue the only accredited certification in healthcare quality, the Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality® (CPHQ).
Through this agreement, HSC has become the first MHA program in the nation to hardwire NAHQ’s content into its curriculum.

- HQ Principles: This six-hour, on-demand course serves as an introductory guide about Quality & Safety principles, methodologies and concepts.
- CPHQ Comprehensive Pre-Test: The pre-test offers 130 multiple-choice questions, is designed to assess your readiness and aligns with the current CPHQ content outline.
