February 2025 | My career in Quality began during my Administrative Fellowship when I completed Six Sigma Green Belt training and led a project that reduced order set approval time by 77%. This success led me to join the Performance Improvement team, where I spearheaded Lean Six Sigma projects, improving patient flow, revenue, and care quality. Transitioning into the clinical laboratory industry, I led large-scale operational improvements, saving millions while enhancing efficiency and patient outcomes. As a senior leader, I have focused on embedding quality into strategy, ensuring sustainable improvements, and driving measurable impact through process optimization and leadership.

December 2024 | My interest in Quality began during my MBA, where I learned key principles of Quality Management, Change Management, and Leadership. Earning my CPHQ certification helped me secure my first Quality role in an acute care hospital, where I gained experience in PI projects, case reviews, data analysis, and facilitation. As my career progressed, I expanded my expertise in event investigation, infection control, and accreditation while mentoring others in Quality and Patient Safety. I believe Quality should be embedded in every healthcare process, as everyone plays a role in improving patient outcomes and experiences.

December 2024 | My journey in Quality began with a passion for improving healthcare systems and patient outcomes. During my practicum at AUBMC, I applied evidence-based approaches to diagnostics while enhancing operational efficiency through process mapping and Lean principles. I extended these efforts to public health by co-authoring a policy brief on newborn hearing screening in Lebanon and later applied Quality principles beyond healthcare as an executive administrator. My commitment to continuous improvement, even during challenges like the war in Lebanon, reflects my dedication to making systems more efficient, resilient, and patient-centered.

December 2024 | My journey in quality began 16 years ago as an ICU nurse, where I saw firsthand the impact of high-quality care on patient outcomes. Transitioning into quality improvement, I led the moderate sedation program, earned my MSN in Informatics and CPHQ certification, and now serve as a Senior Quality Improvement Manager. I have implemented initiatives like the IHI 4Ms framework and AHRQ TeamSTEPPS to enhance patient safety, communication, and workplace engagement in long-term care facilities. To me, quality is an ongoing journey that ensures safe, effective, and patient-centered care while fostering a culture of continuous improvement in healthcare.
